Nature Secrets (Entering grades K-5)
In Natures' Secrets, students in kindergarten through 5th grade will explore the wonders of nature—going on a short nature walk and learning facts about plants, animals, ecosystems, and more. From discovering the roles of acorns, leaves, and pinecones, to understanding how animals use natural materials for shelter, students will gain an appreciation for the world around them.
Each session will feature a nature-themed lesson, followed by a creative crafting activity. Students will gather natural items like leaves, twigs, acorns, and seeds, and use them to make wonderful crafts, from leaf rubbings to pinecone animals. This course encourages creativity, and curiosity, while inspiring a deeper connection with the environment. Instructor: K. Kennedy
