Elementary Book Club: Entering Grades K-5

Students will be read aloud a series of books (3-5 depending on time) with one central theme  (ie. food, friendship, summer, pets, school).  Books will be discussed as a group pointing out similar themes, favorite parts, characters, etc.  Next, students will participate in a fun movement activity along the same theme as the chosen books.  Finally class will end with a drawing activity, each student will be asked to draw their favorite moment from one of the books read and as to not rush any students, they can finish after the allotted class time and drawings will be shared the following class. 

Each week is a different experience!
