Mixed Media: A Process Based Project

The use of a variety of media in a work of Art. What is Media? It is a material! In this course students will be using new materials each day. The artwork will start off looking one way, and end looking completely different! In this process oriented class, students will learn about Art Movements such as “Art for Arts Sake”, Abstract Expressionism and Surrealism. These concepts and ideas can help young artists shift their perspective on what it means to create art and be an artist. Students will have the option to use a wide range of materials. These materials include: Acrylic Paint, Watercolor Paint, Markers, Colored Pencils, Textiles, Paper/Collage, and many more!  An additional materials fee of $5 is required, payable to the instructor on the first day of the course.
